Modern Blanket of Flowers – Yarn Idea

Found a new yarn suggestion for Modern Blanket of Flowers. Many people love the sample but the original yarn is hard to find. I worked up a swatch in King Cole Riot Chunky – and there is a similar look with King Cole Riot DK if you prefer – in colorway Turkish Delight, and I used Stylecraft Special Chunky in Dark Brown for the solid color.

Pattern here: Modern Blanket of Flowers on Ravelry, or here Modern Blanket of Flowers on Etsy.

Chunky:
King Cole Riot Chunky at Wool Warehouse.
At Deramores. Need about 10 skeins.

Stylecraft Special Chunky at Woolwarehouse.
At Deramores. Need about 7 skeins.

DK – could not find the Turkish Delight colorway, but Funky, Urban, and Mystique would work. Need about 5 skeins of Riot DK, 3 skeins of Stylecraft Special DK.

Pattern Testing Pool

Savannah Round Ripple

Have a new pattern to test and would like to establish a “Pool” of testers. Pattern is easy to intermediate. I would like to have Ravelry project pages for the pattern, and see the pattern in larger sizes than the sample, so if you think you would like to make the pattern now please join the test. I will take a great number of testers, so if you are interested, please jump in.

Requirements: Weekly feedback on your progress, a Ravelry project page with photos.

I am sending the pattern out now as a Ravelry gift to testers. All are welcome, the pattern is mostly fine, just want project pages with photos, and to establish a reliable pool of testers. If you join just to get the pattern and do not provide feedback and a Rav project page with finished photos then I will not consider you for future tests. Thanks. 🙂

More info on my Ravelry board, where we will be discussing the test:

New Pattern – Hexaflower

Hexaflower Motif and Half-Motif
I love to crochet with Caron Cakes; the wool/acrylic blend is enjoyable to work with and the colors are fabulous. Each skein features five bright colors and I designed this motif to use precisely the amount of yarn in one color change; you will get seven motifs from each skein. Eight skeins will give you a nice size throw of about 45” x 58” but size is up to you.

The pattern can also be used for a three-color motif. Pattern for a half-motif is included, border pattern is not included. A few post stitches and clusters but mostly basic crochet stitches.

Purchase this pattern and take advantage of my Buy One, Get One Free in my Ravelry Store until May 11, 2018. Place two patterns in your shopping cart and the lower priced pattern will be free.

New Pattern – All the Colors – Simple Striped Blanket

All the Colors – Simple Striped Blanket.

I designed this baby blanket for the complete Stone Washed XL/River Washed XL Colour Pack of 50 – 15g mini-skeins. This pattern beautifully showcases all 50 shades.

Blanket using complete Colour Pack measures 28” x 43” ( 71 x 109 cm). Border adds about 2 inches (5 cm.)

Easy to crochet and the pattern is completely reversible with the same nubby texture on both sides.

Pattern can be completed with only the Colour Pack but I added an optional border which needs an additional 2.5 skeins.

Purchase this pattern and take advantage of my Buy One, Get One Free in my Ravelry Store until May 11, 2018.
